Especially if the Storm bring all their girls. Everyone needs to remember that the Bomber Tournament is really who has the best team on THIS WEEKEND; not who the best team will be THIS SUMMER.

South Texas 8's are definitely a contender. But you have to wonder if this collection of eighth graders from several area teams is nothing more than a Gold level pitcher on a team that wouldn't make it to Sunday combined with the fact that the tournament director that made up their cakewalk bracket has a daughter on the team.

Wondering what top '94 teams from DFW do you think aren't coming? Would definitely like to see the Glory (Elliot), but when are people going to stop considering the Fusion (Sidwell) to be a '94 team. They have two great '94 pitchers, but their studs players are the old Texas Elite '93 and a couple of '93 Texas Glory (Whitby) players.

If the 93 Storm and the SK Tazers have talent and have to be considered in the mix how can this be a cakewalk bracket?

The only thing I know is that '94 Texas Elite is one of the final 4 teams left.

12U 1st TX Aces, 2nd TX Peppers, 3rd TX Bombers 95, 4th Deer Park TPS, 5th Flame Throwers/95 TX Elite, 6th Freeze Blue/95 TX Glory(Gray)

14U Championship Game playing now (10:00 pm) RR Blaze Prinzo vs S.TX 8's. Battle of the 8th grade teams from the Blaze & Bomber Organizations.

Looks Like South and Central TX did pretty well.

8's over RR Blaze 3-0. The Blaze is one awesome team, great competitors, every kid hits, you can never relax against them, no errors, solid up and down the roster.

Good tournament, 8's only had one blow out game, against a 94 team, the rest were close games all the way, though they gave up no runs for the tournament.

Thanks for the update.

How did the teams look this weekend and is anyone changing their predictions for the year.

Also, how did the 95 teams do against the older teams?

I think it is a little to early to start changing your predictions. This was the first real tournament for alot of these teams, and there are always some things that need to be tweaked or adjustment to be made.

As stated earlier it not how you start, it how you finish that matters.

Congratulations to the 94 Tx Glory and 94 Tx Elite, ya'll played great this weekend.

I agree that this is still the beginning of the season and that teams are still going to grow but if you cant change your predictions then why make them at all?
