1st Year 14U Teams

by TheWeatherMan » Fri Sep 04, 2009 8:07 am

How is everyone stacking up with the first round of moves. one or two practices have been done for several teams. Will FB Thunder be the team to beat? Heard they lost their pitcher and catcher from last season but picked up some new ones?

Ok I will bite on this by saying the couple of practices don't tell these players or parents a thing!!! Wait till a few games are played and we will see who prevails. Watch for some bigger changes come spring if not before. Way I see it, to many strong egos on some of these teams that are not going to be happy playing ss, catcher 3rd etc. one game and ride the pine the next game so another can play. Not going to be happy when they get replaced by a better hitter.
Some coaches think they have a team full of starters but let your starter sit and then the egos set in. Fact is only 9 can start .....will your starter be happy on the bench? will you? 12 to 15 on a team, a good team.. can they all stay happy? I'm just saying :D

Ps. I too think FB Thunder will lead the pack

I will bite as well. It does not matter what the results of a couple games are. The loser of those couple games, and all the folks on HB will be quick to say that those couple games don't count, or that tournament does not mean anything, or nothing means anything til' Nats. Whatever, we all know the team mentioned below are gonna go after one another and yes, they do mean SOMETHING, they mean you lost to someone you don't want to lose to. Thats about it.

For the record, I would put my money on FB Thunder and Aces to be the co leaders of the pack. Both teams were great, both got better and both teams are gonna beat the crap out of Impact, Fury, Storm, Lite and Kaos and all the rest as far as 1st year 14u teams go.

I would go as far to predict Thunder vs. Aces at RM Championship.

Next Question!
What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals.

Texas Sting have 16 listed on their roster :o

PS. Zig, I wouldn't expect The Fury, Storm, Lite or asmackdaddy to agree with you

Or any other 1st year 14u

I think that there are quite a few '95's on that roster.

They told everyone there was going to be one team that will move to 18U next year. But when Sting had over 50 at their weekend tryout they started talkng about 2 teams. They were so confused that they called and offered spots and also emailed the same girls and told them they didn't make it. Second team didn't have a coach, etc., etc.

$$ is the root of all evil.
