Best pitching instruction for NTX???

My daughter is getting ready to start pitching for next year and i'm wondering if you guys know of any good pitching instructors in NTx?

I've heard of Noble and Fleming...but any that you know are good?

bobby rexrode up in sherman and dick pobanz who used to give his lessons out at allen station.

very different, but both got good results with my kids.

Bobby in Sherman is the last person I'd send my daughter to for pitching lessons. He'll teach them 40 different pitches but they won't be able to master any of them!

Bobby has been great for my DD and she has been able to master all of the pitches she has been taught. It does take time to master them all but it has been worth it.

All the pitching instructors mentioned have their success stories and there are several more around the metroplex. I have heard good things about Jerry Nichols and Shari Warner (sp) also. But you need to ask around and do your research to see who's style and personality will work best with your daughter. My experience has been with Bobby Rexrode for the last 7 years and he has done a great job with my daughter. But whoever you select, be sure to practice what they show you, because becoming a quality pitcher is a marathon, not a sprint.

bobby has been good with mine, and is who we go with now. one of mine has been going for years, and little fritter just had her first pitching lesson ever up there last friday.

i've never seen the pitch overload. he's got cat throwing a nice drop curve and screwball, the knuckeleball is courtesy of dick pobanz. fastball c/u curve screw drop.

he'll derail fritter for a little while, but then she'll be better for listening. maybe she'll actually put the same spin on the same pitch occasionally. she's got several nice pitches, they just dont correspond to any set of signs.

Noble and Fleming and maybe Warner for the more developed pitchers. If your daughter is a beginner check out Beth Shildt in the Richardson area. She will get your daughter to a certain level very quick.

Dick Pobanz was a truly great pitcher. Any pitcher would be lucky to get the opportunity to pick his brain on pitching. I cannot remember how he threw (style) but, I do remember that he was very effective during the glory days of men's fastpitch and has been an ISC Hall of Famer for many years.

Even if I did not agree with their style of throwing or teaching, I would still seek out the likes of Bill Massey, Dave Lockett or Dick Pobanz to learn pitching.

Glad to see Pobanz has moved South and is willing to share his knowledge.

I would vote for Bobby Rexrode up in Sherman. Until we couldn't afford the cost of the gasoline to get up there and the 2 hour round trip, we were going up to the Ball-Yard every-other week for about 2 years. He took our dd from a strong rec-ball pitcher to a solid bracket pitcher. He's not a miracle worker, and can be a bit confusing to understand, but if your kiddo's got some natural ability, a good work ethic, and a good head on her shoulders, she can be successful with him. Bobby's got a great rapport with the girls and the parents, and you can be assured that he will be respectful to you and your dd.

South DFW Metroplex I would say use Donnie McFatter in Mansfield/Arlington. Jim Davis is another good one out of Burleson.
