Explosion 1 0 1 0 0 0=2-6-3
Grapettes 0 0 2 0 1 x=3-5-1

After the city forced cancellation of the 1st 2 games we finally got underway at 11:30. The Explosion defense was their own worst enemy as in addition to the 3 chargable errors there were several brain cramps. Sarah Moore got things off to a good start with HR in the 1st. It stayed that way until Sara White doubled in Anasis in the 3rd. The Grapettes tied it up with a double and HR in the bottom of the 3rd. Explosion got hits by Moore and Ziese in the 4th but couldn't do anything with it. The Grapettes used a single and an error to put runners at 1st and 2nd with 0 outs in the 4th but Stangel pitched out of trouble. The game winner came when the runner scored from 2nd on a sacrifice. The 1st baseman was ready to throw the ball the home but the catcher was looking at the batter.

Pure FP 1 0 0 0 0 0 0=1-3-1
OC Batbusters 1 0 0 0 4 0 x=5-7-0

Fill-in pitcher Marissa Young settled down after the 1st inning but the Busters couldn't get any runs themselves. Mauga's 3rd HR of the day tied it in the 1st but they couldn't take advantage of Campbell's double in the 3rd and left runners at 2nd and 3rd. Moeai led off the 5th with a double down the LF line. Lopez bunted and was safe when the 1st baseman dropped the ball. Sierra Romero made them pay with a 3-run HR. Campbell singled and 2 outs later Swearingen doubled her home.

Explosion 2 0 0 0 0=2-8-2
OC Batbusters 3 0 1 2 5=11-8-0

The teams each got the same number of hits but the difference was that half of the Batbuster's hits were HRs. Moore opened the game with a single May followed with a HR as Explosion got 4 of their hits in the 1st inning. Romero led off with a double, went to 3rd on an error and scored on Campbell's sac fly. After Jelenicki walked, Mauga hit a 2-run shot to take the lead. Mauga led off the 3rd with her 5th HR in 3 games and after an error left the door open, Jelenicki hit a 2-run blast in the 4th. They loaded the bases on 2 walks and an error in the 5th. Bennet singled in 1, Lopez's ground out plated another and Romero finished the scoring with a 3-run HR.

OC Batbusters 0 0 0 1 0 1=2-4-0
Grapettes 0 0 0 0 0 1=1 -4-0

Lexy Blevins performed admirably as a fill-in starter allowing only 1 hit until the 6th but the Batbusters weren't giving her much offensive support. A Campbell double, Jelenicki single and Mauga sac fly accounted for the only scoring. The Grapettes had 3 baserunners in the but Moeai threw out one trying to steal 2nd to defuse the danger. Romero hit a HR in the 6th for an insurance run and they needed it as the Grapettes got a HR of their own in the bottom of the inning. The Batbusters finally broke through with 5 hits and 4 runs in the top of the 7th but when time ran out the score reverted.
