Took a little time out from the Carew to catch a couple of games at Bill Barber.

Not a very good game but nice to see Sammy Cordova toss a no-hitter. She struck out 7 and was a 4th inning walk away from a perfecto. It didn't take long for Edison to get on the board. Karley Wester led off the 1st with a bunt single and stole 2nd. O'Connor singled up the middle for an RBI and also stole 2nd. Hickman singled to RF and Africano got an RBI single to LF. THe score remained 2-0 until the 4th. DeMarco led off with a double to LF and Feuerstein singled her home. Sherman reached on an E-7 and Ali Wester's ground ball got the run home. In the 5th doubles by Hickman and Africano and a single by Feuerstein accounted for the final 2 runs.

Cordova has to settle for a 1 hitter with 1 walk but also strikes out 10. Edison again had a good 1st inning. K. Wester doubled and came home on O'Connor's double. Three straight Wilson errors accounted for 2 more. The Chargers loaded the bases with 0 outs in the 3rd on singles by Hickman and O'Connor and a walk to Plaza but the next 3 hitters went out in order. Edison broke it open in the 4th with the help of 2 more Wilson errors. After the errors K. Wester got a bunt single to load the bases. Hickman then cleared them with a double to center. Two outs later Africano beat out an IF hit to finish the scoring. In the 5th Wilson scored a run only to have it taken away from them. An IF hit and a BB put 2 on. A fly to RF advanced the runners and a bad relay from 2nd allowed the run to score. However on appeal it was ruled she left early and the run was negated. Tahti walked to lead off the 6th and scored on O'Connor's triple. A ground out got the final fun of the game home.
