Los Alamitos had 2 runs after the first 2 batters and held on for a contentious 2-1 victory to grab a tie for 1st place with the visitors. Edison played a little fast and loose with the glove but the errors didn't hurt them and they turned 2 double plays to get out of trouble.

Cordova vs Humphrey
It looked like maybe a blowout was in store. Crissman led off the 1st with a BB and Laufou hit one over the LF fence. Geer followed with a single but Cordova settled down and escaped without further damage. The Griffins threatened again in the 2nd as a Medina single, sacrifice and Crissman single put runners at the corners but this time won the duel and induced Loufou to hit into a double play. The Chargers loaded the bases in the 3rd on 2 walks and a hit batter but O'Connor struck out to end the inning. Two Edison errors helped Los Al load the bases in the 5th but Cordova again got an inning-ending DP. Edison has had some nice comebacks this year and they gave it a shot in the 7th. Pinch hitter Megan Feuerstein led off with a single and 2 outs later Ali Wester got the run home on an IF hit. She then stole 2nd and went to 3rd on the bad throw. But in a case of so close yet so far Humphrey struck out K.Wester to end the game.
