Of course the article misses the truly sinister angle...that having an ally with such capabilities and immunities will be very handy for the friends of internationalism. When you sick the FBI on your political enemies, Americans have the pesky tendency of balking. Who will they balk to here? How will anyone even know where the marching orders come from?

SInister is the perfect word for this new executive order.

Unfortunately ordinary Americans don't seem to consider the consequences of of these types of actions by our government. They believe that because they are Americans that nothing bad will ever happen to them and that they can trust their government officials to do the right thing.
Nothing could be further from the truth.

In addition to the inter-pol order we have advisors to the President Obama like Cass Sunstein.

In 2008, while at Harvard Law School, Sunstein co-wrote a truly pernicious paper proposing that the U.S. Government employ teams of covert agents and pseudo-"independent" advocates to "cognitively infiltrate" online groups and websites -- as well as other activist groups -- which advocate views that Sunstein deems "false conspiracy theories" about the Government.

Americans need to quit being divided and ruled by their political ideologies and start to realize that our interests lie in coming together on the fundamental idea that we are all citizens under the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
That these documents are not some obsolete piece of paper that only apply to the founding of the country and are no longer relevant today. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are documents for all peoples of all times.

These people (incidentally and ironically called "liberals") will happily force their value systems on others, while simultaneously stealing their money to pay for the consequences. They're too historically ignorant to understand that a government empowered to do such things will inevitably come for them too.

I'm not sure how that follows from my remark. I'm merely observing that if you don't like big brother, you can hardly expect to make allies out of those who love him dearly.

And neither "liberal" nor "conservative" are simpleton labels. They are terms with extremely useful and predictive definitional content. And the simple fact is that those who adhere strongly to the liberal worldview are almost invariably little Eichmanns. They have no problem with shredding the constitution in order to strip you of your freedom to self-determine and force you to adhere to the dictates of their utopian value system. And they have no problem with the most heinous abuses of government power, or the institutions vital to a free and prosperous society, so long as the abuses are done on behalf of the liberal cause. Modern liberalism is fascism my friend.
