Tucson wrote:Donnie, Like me, you may need to learn to pray. For 50 years, I thought that I knew how. But, then I walked away from a church that was teaching me nothing and found a bible based southern baptist church, where people stood right up and asked for what they needed.

I studied the Prayer of Jabez and it was a life changer for me.

Good luck, I knew when I sent you the e-mail about a new team called the Rainbows, that you must be busy with other stuff. :P

Wow - thanks Amy, I missed this post of yours - this is great. Thank you.

Good news from Donnie, is that his wife has made a miraculous recovery. So, that part of his problem is lots better. Now - for a break in the job situation. He is working 2 menial jobs, right now.

Prayer is good!

Thanks Tucson for posting this. We had a post surgery appt last week and the cardiologist said that from everything he sees, she is 'cured' 'healed'. Thank God for him and thank God for his education and training. I suspected that she was getting better than the doctors were telling me some time back but they would not do a retest saying 'with this combination of factors, there is no point - you have these problems - retesting isnt going to show anything different.' Her energy level increased, her weight decreased, but they were telling me to get things in order, etc. etc. and I did - but I kept seeing what I considered to be the effect of the drugs and her complete change of diet (no sodium, low sodium, nothing processed, virtually all of her meat was venison, wild hog, all of her fish was wild caught salmon sent by my son-in-law caught in Oregon somewhere, or south texas redfish and catfish). As they say, I prepared for the worst, but prayed and hoped for the best. During this 8 months from hell, my daughter's best friends mom died from probably this same issue, so I know how lucky we are. And thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers over this period.

Youngest DD has basically been on her own during all of this regarding recruiting, visits, etc. my time had to be spent on other matters obviously, and softball was not something that was really on the list - sad for her unfortunately - but thats life. But most of all, appreciate your situation - you can not imagine how fast it can change.
