I recently change companies and was in a orientation with around 20 other new hires from different levels. Two things struck me from this meeting
1) underemployment- there were 5 recent college grads from good schools that had taken part-time teller positions
2) All 9 women in their 20's were single moms(representing a good cross-section of ethnic groups)
I know this was a small sample group, but represented (IMO) some frightening trends
