The progressives liberals are making him into a martyr because he stood up to the racist LAPD, one problem, the first two victims he executed were minorities, Asian and Black. The people he carjacked and kidnapped, but did not kill were White. He killed two other officers that were white, but he was aiming at the uniform, not the skin color. Unfortunately it isnt just progessive liberals. I use FB quite a bit for business, but yesterday got sidetracked by a discussion a conservative friend of mine in Texas started about the lack of due process he was afforded, all based on the now infamous police scanner recording of "burners in place". In a short period of time several non liberals were going off on the LAPD burning him out, forgetting the fact that it was in the SB jourisdiction and who was running the show.
The dialogue then turned to "he couldnt have surrendered without being shot first", which is BS. He could have walked across the street in San Diego and turned himself into the Navy MPs at the sub base. He could have stopped at the Border Patrol checkpoint on northbound I-15 and surrendered.
I got so frustrated I unfriended a dozen people, 6 of whom emailed me asking why. I told them I have no room in my life anymore for stupid people. One was also a born again Christian I have known for 30 years who also voted for Obama because "Romney is a liar". The fact that Dorner killed 2 innocent civilians and ambushed 2 cops escaped them. One suggested he was framed. Really? What, LAPD killed the kid of one of their own? I can handle political and religious differences no problem, but I am now drawing the line in accordance with the single one line Bill Maher said that I agree with - that the one prejudice he is guilty of is being "anti-stupid".
How anyone can defend this guy's actions is beyond me. In my eyes you lose all rights when you start endangering innocent lives.
OTB - All these "friends" of yours would guaranteed be singing a different tune if it was their kid that got murdered for no reason.

Yeah, one group was cheering him on while he was free and when he was cornered, another group wanted him executed. Meanwhile his mom is at a bar eating chips and sipping wine while this is going on.
We are so polarized and I believe it is by design.
