No surprise at all there - the sfb that worked up my security clearance wasted a bunch of time worrying about my immediate family member who served in a foreign military. My father-in-law , served in the Swedish army during WWII and you know how many of those mfs flew airplanes into our buildings. What I have learned in my short few years working in military intel mostly is that for the US to have been successful militarily, the boots on the ground of our military are absolutely incredible - they have to be to overcome the absolutely shit for brains above them. Freaking idiots whose energy is spent patting them selves on the back.
