Places to Stay along the I70 in Colorado

Off topic. Home for jokes and other misc. stuff.

Has anyone happened onto a good town to stay along the I70 between Grand Junction and Vail (or Denver) for the Colorado 4th of July tournaments? I stopped in Grand Junction once and was not impressed by the surroundings. Any other ideas? Seems like there are a lot of small towns to choose from.
