Thanks "REALLY". Not included on your list is a local young man, LCPL Seth Sharpe, USMC, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on July 2. We are a small rural community about half way between Atlanta and Chattanooga and many may consider us redneck or hicks, but as a community, we have our priorities right. When his body was returned to the nearest airport, about 10 miles away, the roads were lined all the way to his church with supporters and US flags. Part of the route went by his high school where he left early at the age of 17 to enlist. People were 4 deep lining the road. Estimates of over 10,000 lined the 10 mile route. Our town is maybe 5,000. We may be hicks, but we know who our heroes are. God bless them all.

I believe this is the video I can not view it from here but I remember it from another site I visit.

I'd be willing to bet that no one asked how much it would cost, who was going to pay for it or asked for any hand outs either just a strong community brought together and made stronger by a young hero's sacrifice. God bless LCPL Seth Sharpe, and his family.

Yes, that's it. Anyone who can watch that and not get choked up, either has no heart or has serious priority issues. I don't know for sure but I think everything was strictly volunteer. We just heard what time he was expected and come out in support if you can. Makes me proud to part of this community. God bless our heroes.

Nothing pisses me off more than someone being disrespectful of our service men and women.

There are many more soldiers who have laid the ultimate sacrafice at the alter of freedom whose names are not generally known to the public due to the nature of their work. To my comrades and friends at the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment in Ft. Campbell, KY, thanks for all you do. Mark S., Robin V., Joe B., thanks for your more than 25 years of service as Nightstalkers. It was my honor to have served with you.

What (almost) all of you said. And yes, there is definitely something wrong here.
There is no charge for awesomeness
...or attractiveness.

Several years ago I had a guy on my crew who went to Nam early on ... when he came home shot up, he told me that they flew into LA and people were spitting on him ( them ) ... this guy 15 ... 20 years after coming home would jump in a ditch if a car back fired ... couldn't sleep through a night ...
