Read many years ago...that the next World War would be basically over fresh water...
Ever read how the French Co. Nestle feels about water?

No shortage of freshwater in us (see Great Lakes). Issue is the amount of people who live in arid( desert ) locations. In California you have 30 plus mil people living in what has essentially always been semi desert. The solution to this point has been through aqueducts Future solutions( non cheap) are going to include pipelines from far further locations, ocean desalinization, and waste water treatment. Better utilization of current supplies would help too. Better to start sooner rather than later since these pipelines and aqueduct can take years if not decades to build.

It still amazes me how fluctuations in the weather effect different regions. You guys in Cali have been warm and dry- we have had record cold and snow. Right now it is in single digits and are looking at another foot of snow this Sunday. They are already warning of flooding this spring in upstate ny, pa and New England. Wish there was a way we could send some your way

Actually, Nestlé Waters is based in France. Nestlé Waters North America is based in CT.

Nestlé Waters North America is a division of Paris-based Nestlé Waters, the world's largest bottled water company. Nestlé Waters serves customers in 130 countries, with 75 well-known bottled water brands and is, in turn, a subsidiary of the world's largest food company, Nestlé, S.A, based in Vevey, Switzerland.

Nestlé Waters has production facilities in 36 countries.

The French part is what used to be Perrier-?

I tend to laugh at people here in the US drinking bottled water. Europeans drink bottled water because their public water sucks and in many case is unsafe to drink. My wife's relative from Italy like to drink from the faucet here(because you actually can!!!) Consumer reports reguarly rates NY City water better than anu bottled waters- many bottled waters ( Like Dasani) are tap water

French part? The HQ overseeing all of Nestle Waters is in Paris.

What became Nestle Waters was formed after the acquisition of Perrier, but Nestle had already acquired another French brand, Vittel, several years before that. It was probably a combination of the two.
