I don't live in Cali (thank GOD), but does anyone from there think that beyond the butt hurt senator/congressman/whatever wanting revenge, that maybe some of the others are going along with him thinking that this may bring in more money to stop gap the financial issues in the California government? I totally think this is crap, but how much money do you guys think this would bring into the coffers? I can imagine that in Texas that would be a HUGE chunk of change....

California is the home of politically correct, socially relevant, holistic, self absorbed, non-minority appeasement liberals all singing "kummmbyyyyahhhh" as a fashion statement. It's a toilet and getting worse by the day. The central valley is, typically, conservative but the major voting blocks are in SF (a sewer) and LA. I've spent 60 years in CA and am actively looking for a home 600 miles to the north. Time to flush. I have become immune to stories like this as they are a daily occurrence. Pathetic. Enough is enough.

Hummm... fear, prayer, agendas and faith all mashed together to make sure the rhetoric matches the perspective. Don't know who the Dem's pray to, nor the Rep's. As a non-partisan (I vote the best candidate, not by lock-stepped party affiliation), I wonder how the Rep's want smaller government intrusion into their lives but demand that a woman's reproductive system be federally controlled. Seems a bit of a paradox. Oh... I remember now, "life" begins the instant moment a zygote is formed because "gawd" must be involved somehow. And the Dem's... geeezzz... handouts and crocodile tears for everyone, free everything, "the man" owes you, down with the industrial complex, open borders, anything goes.

The pendulum swings... right to left to right to left... either end is not particularly compelling. Somewhere near the center, near common ground, viable, rational and achievable reality can exist.
