You know, a guy here at work the other day had a theory, that we should raise the voting age to 30, so that people that have to actually live in the real world (as opposed to living off mommy and daddy) before they can vote. I hadn't thought about it, but it makes sense to me.

I'm pretty sure we have a few posters here that are under 30

You see, there was this fella named Clinton, the first black prez, who was more interested in having his tallywacker played with by a 20 something...instead of defending our country after the first attempt to kill thousands in 1993 with the WTC bombings. The thought at the time was...let's just be friends and maybe they'll leave us alone...exactly what we're seeing now from the O man.

Raising the voting age to 30 great idea (NOT!!!). As a retired MGS in the marines who fought in 2 wars and buried many fellow marines who were 18 years or younger I think your idea sucks. We fougt for many rights and one should be 18 years olds who are serving our country can vote. Are you telling me that these fine service people do not deserve to vote, they are fighting for our country!

Normally this type of decision making comes from want-to-be's, people who never served but talk a lot of cramp. To many people who speak like they served but never did and never had the balls to serve. You guys have been watching 24 to much and get a false sense of what really goes on in the military and how we protect this nation.

Bug...I've served and have no problem with others who have not...talking a lot of cramp...ahhh.. crap.

As volunteers, we choose to serve or not. That alone does not disqulaify others to speak up. I agree though that if you're old enough to die for your country, you're old enough to vote.

Joe I do not have a problem with people who did not serve. However I do have a problem with want-to-be's who act and talk like they served. Most have no clue what it is like in the military either serving in peace or war time. Oh by the way when did you serve and what branch. I served from 1969 to 1995. Saw some combat in 2 tours of Vietnam, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama and the 1st Gulf War.

Having an opionion and stating it is ok that is a right that I will and have fought for. However when you say things expect some to either agree or not agree and give their opinion. I did not say they could not or should not state an opinion. I explained how it was a stupid idea to change the voting age and then I gave a personal opinion and attacked the want-to-be's.

I would save your attacks for Reid, Pelosi and the lefties who truly hate any of us who defend their rights to apologize for defending ourselves.
