I don't think the article was giving "advice" so much as offering opinion and observation. Most of it true.

Call it what you want, advice or opinion...The same was offered in 1776 by some and still others today. And of all the peeps to be offering advice or opinion? Russia? I mean... how many do overs do you get?

Again, I'll take my chances where the majority is still pretty conservative, albiet duped at times. The pendulum will swing to the Right soon enough, especially if the O man forces this healthcare down our throat.

The pendulum always swings back to the right, but never quite as far as it did the time before. Black Widow is right...Western classical liberalism is going the way of the dinosaur, and there's very little that can be done to stop it from happening. We are losing the battle on every front...demographics, education and ideological indoctrination, and individual apathy, laziness, and sense of entitlement that all, ironically, are the direct (and perhaps inevitable) offspring of our own success.

I didn't read the article in the OP (yet), but I have found that the very best observations about the Occident's current slide into socialism are made by folks who lived under socialist tyranny. They experienced socialism first-hand, and they understand it for what it really is. Milan Kundera, Vaclav Havel, and Vaclav Klaus come immediately to mind.
