1) I dont disagree with the Martin verdict. It was correct.
2) Both parties could and should have avoided the problem.

ATWT. You need to read th whole article. There is not a Democrat(or even a republican) in NYC who would call Bloomberg a progressive(despite his soft drink policy and his fervent illegal gun campaign). All the democratic mayor candidates are(except Quinn) are running on anti-Bloomberg/tax the rich platforms(Bloomberg is not running). Also- under Bloomberg violent crime dropped 30 %. This was off of the drops that were experienced under guliani Diblasio has been using his family to get the black vote from Thompson.
