...and anyone who wears the label would be a racist.

Clearly, West is a racist.

Its OK to have your opinion. Mine differs because thier is no proof. Just your and others speculation (not clearly as you state) thru lyrics and he grabbed the mic from a young caucasian girl to shout out a african american girl. Maybe some more with the Katrina Bush line... You guys blur real racism by calling BS like this. Call michael richards racist and Im with you. We have his tangent on tape.

Skarp is right. That was my point but the sheep are too quick to gather. The term racism & racist is thrown around way too much nowadays. "his music has racist lyrics"... dude,, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! You can label 95% of bands & musicians racists or homophobes or sluts or cheaters or whatever you want if you start dinging people for lyrics. Funny stuff Joe.

I haven't the first clue what his lyrics say, because I don't listen to that garbage. But if his lyrics are racist, then he is a racist...period. That doesn't necessarily mean that his latest stunt was racially motivated...it only raises the probability. But any charge of racism that I make is going to be based on what I know, not on what I surmise.

Ummm...wrong. Obama calling out this guy is decidedly presidential...shows leadership rather than pandering to his political base. It's not the insignificant event that is at issue, but rather the larger issue of young black male thuggery...and Obama taking a stand against it is to be admired.

Now if only his remark was actually intended to be on the record...

Hmmm...I see your point and it's a good one...but ABC is apologizing for posting an "off the record remark". So he still gets no presidential points, he didn't want to take an "official" stand against his base.
