This amazes me every year. I don't understand the purpose of verbals in football (or basketball) when you go on visits the day before, or even the day of, signing day. Why not just say you don't know?
"John Doe has been committed to LSU for 2 years, changed his mind to USC last month, went on an official visit to Florida yesterday, and signed with Alabama at 10:39am today" WTH?
Explain this to me. These type of players are getting full rides anyway, right? Why all the moves, other than the recent coaching shakeups? Is it to see if Football U got the other big names they were promised to play with?
