Was the SI cover on the West Coast different from the East ? We had a cover aboput Penn State instead of the Giants winning the WS ... I thought that was a big dis ...

My copy (I'm in California) has a photo of the Giants celebrating with the headline "The Giants Win the Series!"

The Giants were great! I was a bit disappointed in both the Yankees and the Tigers. What happened?

Agreed - we kind of claim Hunter Pence , he played for the Hooks down here in Corpus and we got to watch him play a lot before he moved up and got traded. So after my Yankees bailed out, we were Giant fans.

So why does the West Coast get the Giants celebrating and we get more crap about Penn State that could have easily run the following week ?

When you think about, it is probably good business. I think anything with "San Francisco" on the cover would be a hard sell in the south.
