Best Debut Album

Off topic. Home for jokes and other misc. stuff.
Keep it reasonable.

Okay...way too much softball being discussed on this site right now, and the CTS flame seems to be dying down, so here's something different.

What is the best debut album of all time? Here are some that come to mind:

Boston, Boston
Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin
The Cars, The Cars
Van Halen, Van Halen
Weezer, Blue Album
Hendrix, Are You Experienced
Pearl Jam, Ten
Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath

For me, Boston all the way.

...or attractiveness.

Gotta go with Boston also. Wore out at least two 8-tracks and several little wedge speakers that sat over the back seat.

I thought Boy was U2's first album. (?)

I thought it was War, my bad, never the less, one of my favorites

Another comes to mind:
This Was - Jethro Tull - great stuff - maybe why I can't remember the Boy album

My 14 year old DD is currently looking over my back and saw me type Jethro Tull and told she has heard of him. I asked "how and where". She told me in school, he invented the seed drill, I guess I learned something today.

Ahhhh, Jethro Tull. You don't want to be singing Aqualung around the softball field:

Sitting on a park bench
Eyeing little girls, with bad intent...

Dang, you are right, I forgot about those lyrics - trippy stuff - wasn't Aqualung like their 3rd or 4th album?

Boy was U2's first album, War was their first one that was a commercial success.

A couple of others off the top of my head...

Sex Pistols- Never Mind the Bollocks, here's the Sex Pistols. I'm not a huge fan, but in terms of influence it's hard to deny. I read somewhere that guitarist Steve Jones was always too embarrassed to admit he liked Boston.

Joy Division- Unknown Pleasures. BYO Prozak.

Nirvanna- Nevermind. Technically, it wasn't their debut album but it was their major label debut.

The Clash- The Clash. The coolest kids in school all sported the t-shirt with this album cover. No, I didn't have one but I trumped them with my Who Live at Leeds t-shirt (black w/Pete in full windmill on his guitar), that is until some dirtbag stole it from me one weekend at the beach.
