Kiss and Cheap Trick 6th grade

Black Sabbath, Robin Trower, Boston,,
Prince was the first show who was booted from the stage and pelted with shoes

8th grade I think

We must be the same age. I was in 6th when Kiss Alive came out. I think it was my departure from listening to what my parents listened to. I still have my "I was there" button from the concert and I remember setting my back fence on fire trying to be Gene. Good times!

he came out in a jock strap, and the general public wasn't quite ready for that.
i went to that concert, but we got there after the opening act, prince...
i think the other acts were J geils band, george thoroughgood, then stones...but memory is hazy from that day...

i do remember johnny mountain and beverly d'angelo were seated a few rows behind us...
funny the things you do and dont remember...

Arto, I was at that concert...the Stones crowd tossed shoes and bottles at Prince...he walked off the stage after 15-20 minutes. I was close enough to hit him ,but had nothing to throw. $16.50 not bad for Stones tickets. Prince also wore stockings and a trenchcoat.

Pink Floyd -"Pulse" CD & DVD. Great guitar! I saw Pink Floyd in Chicago at Soldier Field several years ago. The concert was supposed to start at 1:00 PM so we got there a little after 11:00 AM. Some guy was ODing or something, setting on the ground propped up against the fence, just shaking. This concert featured the album "Animals". They decided to delay the start of the concert to allow the sun to go down so the big, round movie screen behind the stage could be seen. There were 80,000 people there. We sat in those seats for about seven hours. Some good looking babe kept walking around the stadium in a silver metalic bikini and high heel shoes. When the concert started the sun ws setting and the few clouds in the sky turned pink and orange. It was great!

Yes-"Yessongs" Saw them at Notre Dame years ago. Had chance to see them again several years later. Was supposed to go with my youngest son but gave up my ticket so his friend could go. They had a blast. My favorite Yes album is "Relayer".

My three oldest kids are well versed in rock and can pretty much tell the band/musician and song just by hearing the first few notes of a song.

Uh oh...we've got NU pushing Skynyrd here, and NavinR pushing Neil Young in another thread. Could be heading for a good old-fashioned, Mason-Dixon showdown!

Well I heard Mr. Young sing about her
Well I heard old Neil put her down
Well I hope Neil Young will remember
