Interesting stuff...if they come up with something, it will not be made mandatory according to MLB and players unions..

Thanks Access, good stuff. It definitely makes you think.

My DD doesn't pitch anymore but she does play 3B and I do worry when she's playing in.

I'm not a big fan, but maybe a mask isn't such a bad idea.

Nice find, access. I go back and forth on this. DD has one (14U). She was wearing it last year until it broke in the fall. I know its completely irresponsible of me not to run back out and get a replacement. This just reminds me that I need to get a new one. Especially with her going on to High School this year and the possibility of pitching to girls 4 years older than her. Not that the risk isn't there with pitching to 14U teams, it is just increased with pitching to older girls.
