In todays mail, we received a notice from the State that we overpayed our Sales & Use Taxes for the month of January, 2008. It would seem that my calculator was on the blink that day. ... The letter states that if there are no outstanding taxes to which this overpayment could be applied, we should expect a check within the next 10 days.... the amount of the overpayment ????????????? ... no joke : $.01 I hope that we have no outstanding tax bills because I'm gonna frame this lucking fetter & that check ... this is too great ...its like Christmas morning ...

Thats about right with the way the government works. Spend 20 cents on a envelope to mail it and .43 cents for postage in order to mail the .01 check. Not to mention the cost of the check itself and the wages of the employee who gets to lick the envelope.
You better frame that one, along with the envelope.
Reminds me of an episode of Judge Wopner some years back. A millionaire gets sued by an illegal immigrant who was driving down the freeway when a golf ball hit his windshield. His 1971 Datsun was worth about $500 in total but he was suing for the max at the time, 5,000.00. The millionaire gets up and says he wants to fix the guys windshield and doesn't even mind paying the guy $5,000.00. All he wants is a court document signed by a judge saying he drove the golf ball over 2,000 yards and hit the guys windshield. As the millionaire was 2,000 yards away when the accident happened.
Judge Wopner said, "You got it". Both parties left the courtroom like they won the lottery.

LMAO ! ... Yeah ... see, I can frame this and I'll have it for ever ... like a family heirloom it can handed down generation to generation ... but that electric / magnetic football game where you turned it on and all the players bounce around until they fall over, then you set them up and do it again and again and thats all it ever did ... That went to some landfill after a few months ...

omg, I loved that game,if you took your Rocky Blier running back and put him at a slight angle behind your qb and left tackle he was always good for a 20 yard shaken bake.remember the field goal kicker that you would pinch the sponge football on to kick?Oh the classics never die

Funny ... wanted that game so bad because on the TV it looked SO cool ... and when I got it, it was just a bunch of vibrating little men ... foam rubber footballs and all ...LMAO ! ...once spring broke and I could get back outside and play ball it became a dust collector ... but I still remember it !

That game sucked! You couldn't run the option because when you lined up in the wishbone all the backs went a different direction and the primadonna quarterback would never pitch the ball!
