In my brief experience:

10u parents are quick to overreact to petty bs and imaginary slights...

12u parents believe they know enough to always be right, and if crossed they are willing to make complete pujols of themselves...

14u parents know enough to enjoy watching their kid enjoy the game, and tend to have more acceptance of how things play out...

and after that, for many it's all about the business of getting recruited, so I suspect that pressure takes a little of the fun out of the game for the kids, and the parents.

And then they're gone...

HHHMMM? I think the ball player is still evolving into 16U and so is the Parent / Parent-Coach ... I have seen that 18U brings the biggest change in the gals, Coaches and Parents ... and I am curious as we venture into 23U this year, what interesting Darwinish changes we may see ...

I had a life before softball...I don't remember what it was , but if I look around the garage I can find the remains. I even had friends that had no involvement with FP softball. I should send them an email...see if they're still alive.
