This picture is from my brother who is foolish enough to live in a small town outside of Buffalo. He has gotten over five feet of snow and they are expecting 2-3 more feet tonight. Even for this region which is used to snow it has had a major effect. I am sure we all saw the photos of the NYS Thruway and the Niagra U basketball team. Another friend of mine from college who grew-up there and now lives in Orchard park(where the Bills play) has just as much. Ironically, my nephew who goes to UB in Amherst just got a few inches. This is what happens with lake Effects snow and snow squalls. complete whiteout and several feet of snow where nearby its sunny? I went to school further inland in Geneseo and we would only on occasion get the Lake Effects snow, but would get the bitter cold and 45mph winds
