Well since my ex softball playing DD is currently ranked 20th for all Elite Track Sprinters in USA Cycling (& the only Jr Female in the country that trains weekly on 2 Velodromes with former & future Olympians & National team members from USA, Canada & Trinidad & Tobago) & it's a safe bet she's one of the top 10 fastest (since 10 ranked above her only compete locally & are above the age of 40) I probably have the best answers for Jtat
First ya'll should know this year the Amgen Tour of California had a Women's race for the 1st time. Like any sport it needs big money sponsors & as we all know Big Pharma doesn't put money into R&D anymore but spends it on advertising & paying off Doctors to write scripts & peddle drugs instead of actually treating patients.
Due to rampart doping/cheating in cycling (like baseball & football before them):
"USA Cycling created the RaceClean program as part of its ongoing commitment to clean sport, ensuring a level playing field, and promoting athletes’ health and well-being. This will be accomplished through a dual approach of increased education, using the resources developed by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), and increasing the frequency and effectiveness of in-competition and out-of-competition drug testing at all levels of competitive cycling in the United States that is governed by USA Cycling.
USADA conducts the in-competition and out-of-competition testing, as well as any adjudication. USADA will also select the events and athletes for testing."
God willing my DD will be pissing in a cup after the Jr International Qualifier at the Velo Sports Center (located on the grounds of the Stub Hub Center) June 12th to 14th!
