Squirrel- not trying to mess with your nuts :D Engineering has been one of the few bright spots in the employment arena and we need as many bright spots as possible.

It is cyclical- I know when I graduated college in 1987 B(and below) engineering students were all going into finance (explains a lot) because of the lack of engineering jobs

It probably varies regionally and by discipline (e.g. civil, elec, mech).

I enjoy being challenged/disagreed with. Makes me think rather than just regurgitate. And by tomorrow I won't even remember who wrote your post so I don't have the luxury of holding grudges since I have little interest in figuring it out.

FYI, I edited my earlier post but you guys are just too quick for me.
10 years from now I'll wish I felt like I do these days.
