my democrat friends were right

Hi everyone:

Much as it pains me to say this, I have to admit it - my Democrat friends
were right.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the nation's hope would deteriorate,
and sure enough there has been a 20 point drop in the Consumer Confidence
Index since the election, reaching a lower point than any time during the
Bush administration.

They told me if I voted for McCain, the US would become more deeply
embroiled in the Middle East, and now, tens of thousands of additional troops
are scheduled to be deployed into Afghanistan .

My Democrat Party friends told me if I voted for McCain, that the economy
would get worse and sure enough unemployment is exceeding 8.8% and the
new stimulus packages implemented recently have sent the stock market lower
than at any time since the Islamic Terrorists attacks of 9-11. They told
me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "crooks" in high ranking
positions in Federal government and sure enough, several recent cabinet
nominees and Senate appointments revealed resumes of scandal, bribery and
tax fraud.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more "Pork at the trough"
in Federal government and sure enough, 17,500 "Pork Bills" showed up in
Congress since January 2009....

I was also told by my Democrat friends
that if I voted for McCain, we would see more deficit spending in
Washington D.C. , and sure enough, Obama has spent more in just 30 days
than all other Presidents together - in the entire history of the good old
USA .

Yes, 60% were fooled by the master of deception. 2010 looms though and the 20% that decide elections will come to their senses.

He'll do his best to control the message while he's in power...and perhaps it will be enough to keep him in power.

Yeah, we've already experienced the sheer brilliance that went into that particular decision.

For the love of God, spare us the reprise.

That article was a nice find, Skarp!

I have a problem with the NEA being (mis)appropriated as an (strong)arm to further the agenda of any political viewpoint, right or left, and this campaign to coerce the the artistic community via NEA (slush)funding reeks of extortion and influence peddling.

Great example of "behind the scenes" skulduggery that most Americans are, unfortunately, completely unaware of.
Don't worry about tomorrow. You did that yesterday.

It is unfortunately nothing new. The left has been using the media (including the arts) and education to shape the message for 50+ years now. That's how they mainstream their radical agenda, and make it palatable to the unthinking masses (like our new friend Carolina).

The fact that the morally bankrupt left has been able to claim the moral high ground on such a broad array of issues is a testament to how successful this strategy has been.

I love Democrats....My wife included... :(

They never have or use facts to support anything they say....Obama this and Obama that.....Just wait....If by some chance they get this insurance thing passed.....Then you will get to see what happens when you support something just because someone else tells you it's good and you don't know the facts......BE VERY AFRAID!!! This policy, if passed will change our country for many years and it will take years if not decades to fix it!! Bye Bye Grandma and Grandpa....Hope you don't get sick because America couldn't give a crap if you do.....YOU AIN'T WORTH IT!......

It's ok

Obama, Pelosi, Reid and the gang have butchered this up so bad that they will get slaughtered in the mid-terms. Obama will be forced to the middle, just like Bill ... and Soros will have to find another lefty to throw away his money on.

At the end of the day the people with opt for capitalism over socialism.

You just have to wait it out a couple years.
