DF Softball

by vllyheat » Fri Nov 18, 2011 8:57 pm

I got an e-mail today from the IFA stating that Dennis Fong is leaving the IFA and starting something called "New World Softball". It also said that in the next few weeks there will be some big news release. Just wondering if anyone has some insight to what is going on with all of this.

It is actually All World.. http://www.playallworld.com Great for Dennis!!!

Been playing tournaments at DF here and there for years, Dennis always does a great job with his tourneys. Always looking out for what is best for the teams and making sure that teams get what they pay for. complex is well kept, fields are always nice, staff is always good to deal with, Ump's??? Well have you ever met a good one??

I am sure this will be a good thing. Dennis is a smart business man and would not make a change unless he felt it would be good for the teams playing at DF.

Best of Luck on the new venture

Dennis runs a decent tournament but now maybe he stop the gate fees parents are tired of the extra costs play Asa no gate fees and we can bring ice chests to most events

I dont understand this preoccupation with gate fees. Go to a club basketball event, volleyball, and see if you dont pay to get in.

How come nobody complains when they go to a HS playoff game tonight and pays 10 bucks to get in?

The ONLY reason we dont play at any of Dennis' tourneys is the level of play is weak. He has a great snackbar, he works damn hard on fields, hard on the facility, is an absolute pleasure to deal with.... nothing but positives for his tourneys IMO.

Honestly, wether something is ASA, NSA, USSSA, PGF, or XYZ, teams really dont care. They want nice fields, good games, and decent umpires. The rest doesnt matter.
