14's Pre Memorial Day Rankings

by GameTime23 » Fri May 04, 2012 3:13 pm

T-shun...tell me what you think...

#1. Lady Magic= Stud 97 team with good coaching and top notch program. Team should play more 16's than 14's.

#2. Breeze97= Another well coached 97 team that should play up this summer.

#3. Sorcerer= Loaded 98 team with a few HS players returning. Team will compete and play against the best all summer.

#4. Smash 98= Stud players and coaching. Team plays against the best and competes. Not a whole lot will change with (1) HS player returning. Something to be said for girls that stay together for yrs.

#5. SJ Sting= Very good 97 team with solid coaching. Not a whole lot of noise from team (playing HS), but did notice they added 98's.

#6. Grapes Vasquez= Love this team. They will play anyone, anywhere and anytime. They always seem to play well vs. the big dogs, will play down to less teams at times.

#7. RR Gold RAT= Solid team that competes. Haven't heard or scene a whole lot from them. They could go up or down as summer play begins.

#8 Lady Hustle= Solid 97 team with a top 98 pitcher leading the way. This team should play up during the fall. They could go up or down as summer play begins.

#9) Breeze98= Always loaded with talent and good coaching. They are one of the top 98 teams by far. Will more up as season continues.

#10. Grapes St D= Don't know a whole lot about them, but they do have good players and solid coaching from FH Gold program. They could go up or down as summer play begins.

Knocking at the door: KG Hitters, Grapes GA, N.Lightning98, CC Dirt Dogs, AASA (Silvan & Martinez), Storm, Monarchs and SJ Sharks

Gametime23, I think your ranking looks pretty close to what I'm thinking, with a couple of minor differences +/- 1 ranking spot for a couple teams.

I haven't seen enough of the high school only teams, so I'm not ranking them until they show up. Seems strange to put a HS team in the Spring ranking since their position would be set in stone until they actually start playing in the Summer season. On the other hand, the Spring teams will slide up and down all season according to their actual results.

Don't get me wrong, I know teams like Lady Magic and RR will be strong, but I just prefer to wait until they actually start playing in the Summer.

The real confirmation of the GT ranking will come once we compare with the poll results Bracky gets back, but looks good to me.
No courage. No game.

Enjoy Memorial Day!!!

We should start to see teams play lil better and show there true colors!!

Starting to see some player movement already.........doesn't seem like HS kids missed very much with all of the rain this spring.

Like reading rankings with some explanation. Nice job. I know that some of the 14s wanted to play up in Colorado and other bigger out of town tournaments, and the TD's wouldn't allow it. So I would assume we will see teams playing within their age groups.

Thanks luv2teach for the + feedback....

T-shun and myself like to bust on each other's rankings threw out the year in 12's. I've learned some things from T-shun about rankings and being respectful of other teams and players!!!

This is going to be a good season for the 14's. Really good 98 teams in 14's.

Can't hide poor coaching and daddy/mommy ball kids no more @ 14's.They are getting EXPOSED!!!

FireCracker is where all the big girls will be at this weekend. Sorcerer, Breeze, Grapes-Vasquez, Smash and Dirt dogs will all represent Nor Cal well this weekend. Good LUCK!!!

Does this include the JO Classic in Las Vegas (June9-10)?

Yes I have heard that teams were told that if they try to play up they will be suspended from further play in Las Vegas tournaments.
