College Softball Camps in Clovis, CA

The Clovis Unified School District will be hosting College Softball Camps on Tuesday July 3 and July 10th at the Buchanan High School Softball Complex in Clovis California. Camps will be lead by Coaches from the various colleges who will lead the players in a College style fielding and hitting practices. After lunch, college camp teams will play two games against other college camp teams.

Colleges committed to attending are: UC Riverside, Utah Valley University, Cal State Bakersfield, New Mexico State University, Cal State San Marcos and Charleston Southern University. We are happy to add Fresno State and UC Davis as the final two colleges.

Players wishing to attend may sign-up on the Fresno Force website http://www.fresnoforce.com or contact CUSD Community Recreation Department directly. Camp space will be limited to 48 players. Open to any and all high school athletes.

This will be a great experience for the both the coaches and players to work with each other and to get to know each other. Cost of the Camp is $160.00 which includes a Camp Shirt and Lunch

Intel please explain a little more. You can sign up or contact a coach. You will not be added. So what if you don't know any of the coaches. Maybe I'm out of the loop here.... but I'm confused!

Mr. Monday, hey it's a Friday. We are trying only to get players that are interested in those few colleges attending. Any player can sign up and tell us what teams they would be interested in. The college coaches are telling us what kind of players they are looking for in each class, so if a coach is looking for a 2014 catcher we will try to place a couple of 2014 catchers in that camp.

It is new, it is different and we may be messing it up, but we are trying to let college coaches work with potential recruits and let potential recruits work with coaches to see if their might be a fit.

The July 10th Camp is full for New Mexico State, Cal State San Marcos, and UC Davis. Charleston Southern has the only opening. If interested, I would sign up quickly.
