Tryouts...

Who got better, who lost key players?
Which teams should be successful?

Quite a few teams are still trying to finalize their rosters, so we won't really have a full picture of what the Fall landscape will look like until another week or so. So far it sounds like Smash 98 was able to hold on to most of its players and is going to be the team to beat.
No courage. No game.

The consolidation of the San Jose Lady Sharks 98's to one very competitive group should be fun to watch. They were able to pick up a couple strong pitchers and another experienced catcher to help fortify the stingy defense. The offense will be deep, losing only one productive bat to 16's. There is a lot of excitement surrounding the potential of this team. The coaching staff is combining as well. and bringing together years of experience, personality and passion.

I remember a couple major teams combining several years ago in the olders and that thing blew up in one Fall. Teams always try this stuff in hopes of having that powerhouse team.

All of this talk of who has won and who has lost is hilarious to me.

Coaches are probably in their late 30s early 40s or older and we are talking about winning or losing based upon the latest 14 year old stud pitcher joining a team>???

Coaches coach, and they coach who shows up and they try to make these KIDS better. I guess we are major losers in the player lottery(by the heybucket standard of numbers)... but just like last year, and the year before, we will compete.

Stop worrying about the winners and losers and coach what you got.

Blue that is nonsense. We have to create teams that can go into SoCal and compete...we need superpowers or college coaches won't come. We have to beat everyone at all times. You're making too much sense. Teaching and learning is like old math. We just want to plug in the formula, skip steps, and get to the end result of a trophy. How can you even suggest in good conscious that kids learn and coaches coach??? You're so off base!

Obviously that is sarcasm. Thank you for being the voice of reason.
