NorCal

PGF 14U

by Boogieman » Sat Aug 04, 2012 7:04 am

Congratulations to TC Smash 98 for a great run this year. 5th Place in the Nation as a 1st year 14u is pretty darn good. This team might not get much RESPECT here in NorCal, but down here in SoCal they know who we are and our girls earned it. Now that Smash has earned an automatic berth for next years PGF we are defiantly looking to represent NorCal next season.

Congrats to all of our Nor Cal representatives at PGF. Watching many games, and a lot of those from Socal and different states, it was apparent that Nor Cal has some great talent and competition right here in our own backyard that matches us with the best teams in the nation. It looked to me that many of our teams could have gone deep into that tournament but for whatever reason some didn't.

Congrats to TC Smash and Sting for having a great showing at Nationals.

yes i would agree congrats Smash, i mean Norcal Firecrackers and Sting on their runs at PGF. Norcal definitely showed that it can compete. the main difference I noticed between the Norcal and Socal teams was the lack of depth for Norcal teams compared to Socal teams.

there are 14 million people from Oregon to Bakersfield. There are 13 million people in LA and Orange Counties. That is the difference between NorCal and SoCal ball. Your talent pool is within an hour drive, which is about the extreme a family will drive for practices.
