National, Western Nationals, Park City TC......at this age group it comes down to economics and geography. If you think you are going to face the best of the best just becuase you go to 10U Nationals you will waste your money. There will be plenty of teams who win their Metros but choose to go to Westerns or TC anyway simply becuase it closer or sounds more fun for the girls. Having been to all three at differnet age groups I can say there are good and bad about all of them. At the older levels, Nationals is the true measuring stick for a team. But for 10U, the majority of teams that show up will be from that part of the country. At this age you really want to consider venue and bang for the buck. I think this is where Park City delivers for the girls and parents overall satisfaction. Great parade to kick it off, beautiful views, relaxed atmosphere, ton of activities, etc. In addition, alot of good team show up from California and from all over the Western States and Canada. Winning this tournament may not be as a great of achievment as winning Nationals in some peoples eyes, but going to Park City will be a ton of fun for the whole family whether you win or not. Lets face it, and 10U, that what the kids will really remember anyway. So C'mon Dad, relax a bit, make a vacation out of it. DD cant sign for another 5 yrs anyway. :)

Not true. There's a liquor store on the highway just before you enter Park City. All or most restaurants are 'wet'.

The alcohol content in Utah is less than you would get in most other places. I guess if you like Coors, it would be about the same. :D

EXACTLY. The beer served in restaurants is 3/2 beer. Most restaurants serve only beer. Some serve wine. Very few serve liquor. The beer at the Liquor store is 3/2 for more than the regular stuff. The liquor sold at the Liquor Store is EXPENSIVE. Wine too. Better to bring your own! Not long hours for the LS's either. AND closed on sundays.

Perhaps cooling it at a 10U softball tournament might be in order...

Cooling what Joe? Just because someone wants to enjoy some liquor after the games or at dinner. That's not allowed? Nobody is saying bringing liquor/beer to the games. Are you a Mormon? If so, don't mean to knock your beliefs, but then don't knock other's beliefs.
