I was not bad mouthing the organization....simply stated the facts that the organization was investigated and sued and posted the documents for review. You've had your opportunity to reply and I'm sure that the HB members appreciate it. However, I do not apologize for posting the information...it's factual in nature and again, I offered no opinion on the organization itself. Having said that....I will say this....if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck....well, you know the rest. And as for the title of the posting....it's simply a reproduction of the court documents.

So much for the proof... All I have seen so far is the proof that accusations were made. To put the word Fraud in the title of the post with no proof is unsettling.

Kinda makes you wonder why a 1 post wonder would post unverified information in a public forum. That action is generally taken by one who has an axe to grind - Just sayin'

I am perfectly ok with anyone being called to the carpet for something they did (or didn't) do. In this case though sfblfactfndr you are stating facts but passing those facts off as a conviction or evidence against the cause of this new org. You come off as bitter.

The true cost of competitive sports goes way beyond the initial team fee you pay to the team. The fact this org has been able to come up with an offsetting funding mechanism is GREAT. The fact that the instruction is going to be quality is also great. I feel that this org basically stepped up the play in the area. Other orgs will have to be competitive, and that's a win for everyone.

I do agree anything can be stated in a suit. I also agree with sftblfactfndr people should be informed and what was stated was fact. there was a suit and it was for Fraud.

Like I said, the bad thing about things going public is it falls on the accused to prove their innocent. Watch any newscast is the world tons of people arrested and pics posted daily, very rare do they write a story about how they got the wrong guy or the guy was innocent. With out a doubt in this country You are guilty untill proven innocent. anyone who thinks other wise has never worked in the system or been accused.

I wish my daughter was a 12u player again just for the unbelievable opportunity to play with Lyndsey Klein, Jenny Topping, and Michelle Granger. I know for a fact that Chris Eaton put his life on the line as a peace officer and has gone way above and beyond to make kids lives a helluva lot better. The haters were lining up just as soon as the inception of this organization was announced. For some puke to come on this site and try to discredit a decent man and organization by spreading misinformation is deplorable at best. I have absolutely no ties whatsoever to this organization, but having known Chris and his family for over 40 years, i refuse to idly sit by and not call out any moron that tries to run a misguided smear campaign. The biggest fraud is the turd that started this thread.

Couldn't agree more. I have no sympathy for the guilty but the fact that you can make accusasions about anybody and anything and it is up to them to spend thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars to prove their innocent (did not do anything wrong) is pathetic.

Personaly, I like the idea of the losing party in a lawsuit having to repay the wining party for all legal costs AND damages. Bet that would if nothing else elimanate most of the lawsuit gold diggers.

@Chris, were there any articals about CYPC being vindicated? Just wondering.

@crusherdad, if the OP posted court documents about a coach being accused of child porn would you still be slamming her/him?

We did not post our press release on our website as to not bring unnesscessary attention to the suit. Our Board felt that people would just focus on the allegations and it would be harmful to the organization. I believe they were correct in their thinking. Try hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend yourself. We do email or mail copies of the press release and/or Settlement Agreement upon written request to calpyc@msn.com. The Settlement is out there online I am sure, just not as easily accessible as the suit. Also, this was a civil lawsuit, not a criminal investigation. Law Enforcement was never involved, just attorneys.
Take that for whatever it is worth.

Careful what you say about people even in a public forum, free speech only covers you so far! You might find yourself in a slanderous liable suit! Im just sayin'

Additionally, lets try to remember that the goal of team DeMarini is to help kids play at the highest level of softball. Just like many other teams out there.

I personally know the character of Lyndsey Klein and would and have put my trust in her that she has the best interest in mind of the girls who play for her and take lessons from her and would not allign herself with those of questionable character! My daughter has taken lessons from her for two years and there is no better person out there! She truly is in it for all the right reasons and has demonstrated that to me and my child so many times. Additionally, she doesnt always make her lessons about softball technique, my daughter has learned character, fortitude and work ethic from Lyndsey, making those lessons worth every penny and more! Just my opinion!!
