Top 12u team in NorCal?

I'm sure FH Gold and the Rockets would agree the Gold Brackett had the cream of the crop in the tournament as well.

Every game and every Tournament is important now with Metros 2.5 weeks from now
Some teams are starting to peak and showing consistency while a few teams are dropping for lack of consistency.
Because of lost players and injuries…it's a long season you need depth and a little luck.
before I get Hammered it's an opinion !!!!! :o ;)
....and it doen't mean a thing...these are all good teams. ;) ;)

1. Salinas Storm97- A : won June Classic, but beatable, still the Top team even with lost to Lady Magic
2. San Jose String - A : (pre 3) runner-up in June Classic & RR gold memorial ,14U-third place USSSA in Fremont showing more consistency.

need to prove they can go back to back with Nor Cal Top teams.
6. Grapettes97 - B : (pre 4) poor showing in RR gold memorial, started the season strong but starting to fade need to prove they can go back to back with Nor Cal Top teams, need more depth…...to make a run.
7. AASA - B : (pre 4) a O.K. showing at RR gold memorial & June Classic but losing to Breeze 98 hurt them in June Classic
8. Tri County Smash - B : (pre 13) a good showing at June Classic,up and coming.
9. So. Bay Stars - B- : NOT PLAYING HURT, O.K. showing in RR gold memorial, won Salinas, mother's Day ,need more depth..been lucky with draw.
10. Cal Breeze98 - B-: (pre N/R) a good showing at June Classic,need more depth...been lucky with draw.
11. Strikkers - B- : won the bronze's flight at RR gold memorial, hit and miss at June Classic

don't know who will show up.
13. E.C.Hotshots - B-: (pre 10) Salinas tour hurt them ,poor showing in RR memorial

A runner that pretty good how you ranked them couldn't argue with that, and you are right about playing couldn't imagine taking a team to national in Indiana and thinking your going to compete when you don't even play. Depth is also another big one there is teams that don't have it and it will hurt them. Well see what happens but you also have to rember just cause you win your metro doesnt mean your ready for nationals.

arunner2...top 4 on 'your' list are OK... then you either fell asleep or hit the bottle after that.

I agree.....rankings are in the ball park 1-10 and 11-20's. As far as Metro's go, whether winning it means you are ready for Nationals or not, really comes down to which Metro you get your berth in and who was in it. Once you are at Nationals, I promise you will see plenty of teams (from various parts of the country) that will leave you scratching your head as to how they made it.

I agree with arunner2. Sting have become much more consistent and it seems to coincide with the addition of their new lead off hitter. Seems to be the spark they needed.

checked your rankings....I did like what I saw with Stings lead off. Good athlete all around. Saw a lot about lacking depth....but at 12, what teams have depth. Haven't seen one team with what could be called "depth"". With the outrageous number of 12 year old teams, no team really has any depth. They have a strong 10, and lucky if they have that.

The RR Memorial tourney was a good showing of what can happen. Any of the teams in your top 5 or 6 could beat any other of the top 5 or 6 on any weekend. Sting beat Magic, Breeze beat Sting. AASA had a rough weekend.

Magic and Breeze picked up some wins against some good/decent 14's this weekend. There are 5 teams tied for the number 1 spot that can't be decided for a few weeks still.

Was not to overly impressed with Storm 97. With the newly found consistency of Stings D and the already deep pitching staff added to the bats-alive they're proving to be worthy of the top 1-2-3 spot. Don't count out Storm, we all know they are not on the top of their game right now and can break out at any moment.

arunner, nice listing, however as Fanman mentioned about the bottle...um..no R Sting..perhaps the bottle was pre-post??

Look to see Sting vs Storm at Twin Creeks if they both play thier cards right.

Magic had a good weekend, Breeze went 0-3 on Saturday and then were placed in a bracket of other teams that were 3-4-5 seeds.

They could be an outstanding team, but I dont think your statements are exactly accurate. Playing up is not always a good thing. There is something said about confidence, and winning. Teams need to be extremely confident, and expect to win every time they step on the field. I am not sure how you can take anything away from going 0-3 on Saturday and only having one of those games be close. These kids grow up fast enough already, Gold coaches will Be knocking on the door soon enough, no need to rush them up.
