Too bad egos had to get in the way.. the way I look at it is that it's a blessing in disguise. It was only a matter of time before CPYC ripped the program from the girls. Better that the girls found a good program and are rising above all of this chaos. Good luck girls.. we look forward to playing the 12's team in the spring.
NutsandBolts wrote:How exactly did CPYC "rip" this program from the girls? What did CPYC have to gain from "ripping" anything from anybody? I know for a fact that the organization paid a lot of money to create this program and get these coaches and had offered up to the end to continue paying for the program as well as pay these coaches into the Spring and Summer. It is my understanding that the coaches decided to leave, not the other way around. Sounds like you have only one side to the story. I think CPYC is getting a bad rap because they won't defend themselves. Can't blame them really, some misinformed person would just tear them apart anyway. Good luck to the girls wherever they may land. CPYC, keep doing the good work you do. My son has been invovled in some of your programs and I, for one, appreciate what your organization does for kids. Softball parents are "crazy." Put your resources where they are appreciated.

Crazy4SftBl wrote:I agree all parties involved have good hearts. However, one of the reason the coaches left was because of temper tantrums from Eaton. Every time his daughter didn't play he threw a fit and threatened to pull the sponsor. He stated many times in front of people that he didn't start a team/program for his daughter to sit the bench. His wife also made comments in front of parents that if the coaches pulled her daughter again she would "pull the plug". I think parents and coaches were just getting sick of all of the threats. He made many promises that he didn't follow thru with. I think its a fair statement that it all came together too quick and they didn't have time to work out growing pains. I know all of this for a fact being that I have a very good friend that was on the team. I also had heard several of the comments with my own ears. I think that CPCY has good charities under their program .. however it just seems that he does better with things that don't directly effect his daughter. Sad but very true in many cases. I just think that the people reading this drama on heybucket need to know what really happened. Time heals all wounds and I hope for the best for the team & CPYC.
