Breeze Drama

by Mr. Monday! » Thu Aug 18, 2011 10:52 am

This is very sad to hear if these things did take place. I was not there and do not know anyone involved closely with the Breeze. The idea of players watching this whole thing is disturbing, especially when a coach goes after another...... We have been to many Breeze events and they have been very welcoming and professional. I hope they can get this thing straightened up!

I have waited for over 4 pages now to see Mashburn's response to this garbage. But NOTHING? Really? I thought you might want to get out in front of all this, but thats expecting to much. Are you busy at 18G hanging with your bud or still sitting past the right field fence or wherever you hang out with your overinflated ego? Or are you still on the witch hunt to find out who I am since I made a comment about your buddy and his seemingly questionable moves on the field. By the way I was right on that too and he got in his own way. He just waited til the last game:D Dont sink to blaming parents. Its unbecoming of you.
Steve

The idea that the org owner needed to make a statement on a forum is kind of laughable. If he needs to make a statement it should be to get his coaching staff/parents/players aligned. There's no excuse or tolerance for a physical altercation at a youth sporting event. What could anyone possibly say to get in front of this?

I missed what 1234 said after hearing through the grapevine I read the post again. From what I gather this physical altercation actually took place between D-Bag Don and a female coach of some sort?

Is this correct??

IMO a man that pushes a women around is no better then these men who rape women or prey on children. If this is true why has nothing been said about the impact on these teen girls watching their coach push around a women.

If all true something to think about:
A leader of an organization which involves approx 100 female athlete’s year in year out should understand the impact of situations like this and be able to control himself. I would not expect him to get on HB and defend his actions but if my DD was playing there she would be gone. I wouldn’t care what he had to say. Some things are just over the line.

That right there is enough to never go to a Bingo Bunny Try Out.

You want to know how to get out in front of this? Are you guys serious? Wow sometimes I wonder about the bucket.
I dont think the altercation was with Don but I could be wrong here. I havent digged enough to find out, nor do I care. Im not a fan really of the ORG and this goes back years ago. Another time another topic.
Ok DON , you ready?

As President of the California Breeze I wanted to let it be known that this type of behavior will not be tolerated on any team in this organization. I sincerely apologize to all the participants who witnessed this at 14U Nationals. The appropriate measures have been taken to ensure that this never happens again. Any person in this Organization who puts their hand on anyone , whether a parent or coach will be dismissed immediately. We do not condone altercations with a woman, child or any other person, especially on the softball field. My sincerest apologies and I hope this does not discourage families from trying out for our teams in the future.

Feel free to copy and paste that Don, or make corrections as you see fit. If I made any mistakes artomatic or skarp will keep me in check.

I do want to note that you should not discount the power of the bucket. As of right now this thread has been viewed over 2800 times. There are many people who do not post and only read. I cant tell you how many times I have been at the field and hey bucket or a topic has been brought up. So why you think a comment is laughable by Don on this site, I think it is appropriate as this site is a great way to reach the community. While the entire community doesnt come here , I bet atleast 1 person from each team does and then it spreads and spreads. So if you want to get a message out and clarify or apologize for something, this is a great venue. Granted you could get your head chewed off to but if your ORG screws up, own it and move on. We will only bash you as long as the thread is on the first page
