Worth Salinas strom and Krypton97 all need to get in....a few others too to move up and down..... but going to give it another week before updating..

Any input of feedback that I should consider? Thanks

How about you start with the Order of finish for your input? http://www.norcalasa.org/jo/pdf/Order_of_Finish_14A.pdf

or the brackets to see who actually played some meaningful games?

KG Hittters and Shockers didn't even qualify for regionals.

Fat Daddy I did some searching and the 97 Stars team is not registered as a 14u team, even though they are all 97's. According to the team web site they are a 16u team. I also looked and they have not played or registered for any Premier qaulifiers. So it does not make sense to have thm in a 14u ranking if they play 16s and are not attempting to play Premier or ASA.

They played in the 14u Norcal Metros and took 3rd, only losing to Kryptonite JH.
No courage. No game.

SB Stars 97 (Sanguenetti) qualified for ASA Nationals. They are good. Lets see if they attend the Premier qualifier in 2 weeks.

Fan S-ball.....I didn't know we were talking until I noticed your 2nd post, But thanks for your feedback.....

All of these games are meaningful to someone....

Didn't say a word about KG Hitters..... But they are loaded with talent, 99's ballin and STUD Coaches..... and a very good 98/99 team playing anyone and everyone.

Nor-cal Shockers U14 team is very good and no one knows them. I just know a few kids that are ballers on that team. Plus they have done well so far this season for a new team....looks like there program is sending kids to college too...

They are not a new program and the guy that runs the shockers(Paul) has been around for quite some time now.

you asked for input from the peanut gallery so I gave it. you also said Shockers had a good showing at norcal metros, but they did not. an ITB win over the young Sharks, 1 win over a weak team, then two straight losses is not a good showing.

I mention KGH because you had them listed as 12th on your first ranking with STUD coaches. if they were "loaded" they would have done better than 1 win an 14th place.

Storm took 1st with probably the youngest roster in the 32 team field. Kryptonite did great as a legit "new" team. CC Athletics are young AND new, finished 8th. both Sharks teams that finished 6th & 7th are primarily 98s. Same goes for RRGold Faulstich. all these teams were afterthoughts in your original rankings.

HEY Iluvblue.....

I was talking about the U14's team being NEW team, they played last fall as older team and didn't play this spring.

They have done very good so far this season with most people not knowing anything about them. Shockers and RBI surprise teams of the Spring and Summer so far.....

Shockers are located close to us and for the past few years they have been sending kids to pretty good colleges.

Whoever does rankings should:

1. State who their kid plays for, and if they don't state their purpose (ie Bracky trying to get interest in his tournaments). It matters. Sometimes these rankings come off as fact, when they are an opinion.

***Wait I should just combine them, add a coach's poll and be the BCS of this mess ;)***

2. State the number of times you've seen the team you're ranking. It makes a difference in opinion. When you read the NCAA rankings you assume the teams have all been seen.

3. Recognize this isn't college football. In softball/baseball good teams lose to inferior teams every once in a while. You don't usually run the table for a summer either.

We all like to know how good our teams are (or are not doing) so the rankings are a measurement tool. I thank you GameTime for them. Just looking at a way they could be improved and be a positive thing.

I've said before the 14s have a lot of competition and someone said they were watered down.
