They are coming out the wood works now.....
By the way, Smash parents are no diffrent than any other winning teams parents. But dont come on here acting like you are not from Smash asking all kinds of questions about them. The girls do enough talking for eveyone. Much props to the coaching staff too, because I remember in the fall when they would just fall apart. Now the girls are solid like a rock. Great job Mike, Steve and Derek. I know Smash will represent Nor-Cal to the fullest.

WHY NO TRIPS TO SO CAL BY THIS SMASH TEAM? SEEMS LIKE EVERY OTHER NOR CAL TEAM CAME DOWN AT LEAST ONCE.

i was wondering why anyone would leave a great organization like sorcerers. then i saw that they were still a feeder program so it made sense. but then i saw the director of there organization said the following in the tryout thred.

While the Sorcerer organization is flattered by the notion of a team seeking to be a "feeder" to our Gold program, it is also true that we have within our club a strong 14s program with an outstanding coaching staff. The head coach, Bill Schroll, is among the most successful in Northern California, having coached three teams to Top 10 nationals finishes, including two Final Four seasons. We are proud that many of our best Sorcerer Gold players, who later became stellar collegiate performers, have been developed from within our club, in many instances by Coach Schroll. Coach Schroll also has had Gold-level coaching experience in our club and knows how to coach the skills necessary for players to succeed in elite Gold softball. We wish the Bruins the very best in their future endeavors. Sorcerer 14s tryouts will be held Aug. 14 and 21. Check the Sorcerer Softball website for details.'

OUCH! sounds like there is no relationship between the two and bruins are there own thing.

The NorCal drama is good, no question about it, but whenever this section gets a bit sleepy, I can always count on Indiana to deliver.

They fight over 10u the way NorCal fight over 12u.

Will sorcerer have 10's & 12's this fall?

Rumor is Kiko Garcia is cookin somethin up with a 10's and 12's program.... Not sure if that would fall under Socerer's or KG Hitters? Saw him watching some of the top 10's and 12's play lately.

Option A: Likes watching the young ones play.
Option B: Scouting some girls for his program
Option C: Looking for young talent for his 18 gold team.
Great proven coach will be interesting to find out which one of the three options comes to be.

How about Option D: His gold team is imploding and he is looking to replenish all his age groups, and hell no from what I gather, it would not "fall under" the Sorcerer program

Its all a matter of choice and I know if my kid where in his neck of the woods and his team was only team around, my kid would take up soccer, just saying....

Softbawl101....

Rumor has it sorcerer98 didn't want 14's picking up any of there players, plus there are 5 coaches kids. They had 3 or 4 players drop this year. They seem to have high turnover besides coaches kids. I know Sorcerer program (phil) isn't a big fan of daddies coaching past 12's..

Rumor has KG Hitters having (2) 12's team this year....00's & 99's...

Sorcerer 98 did lose 3 players, 11-13......every team has drop off in every season and usually its the players who are struggling getting enough play time, which was the case on this team. The team has a great chemistry between players and parents and chose to stay together because of that. And maybe Phil doesn't approve of dad's coaching a Sorcerer team past the age of 12, I don't really know what Phil likes so can't comment on that. But I do know there are 4 coaches kids on Sorcerer 98 and there is definitely NO "daddyball" being played on this team if that's what you are implying gametime!!
