12U Spring/Summer Ranking

by BigDottie » Tue Apr 19, 2011 3:27 pm

The brew-ha-ha by the Bay goes on!

While you hate to see a good team lose key players mid-season, you shouldn't be surprised by it. It happens far more often than perhaps you realize. Whether you think it is right or wrong, the family and player leaving obviously felt that it was right for them, for whatever reason. If you are on that team, yeah, it stinks and you can be upset about it, but just learn to live with it and move on already.

As my good buddy Jimmy Dugan said: "Are you crying? Are you crying? There's no crying in baseball".

My 14u team moved up to 16u in the Fall under our new name (OBS Monarchs). That team was damn good, but for whatever reasons, many of the players left after Fall. I have no hard feelings towards any of them or their parents. They left, we moved on. I always tell people, it is never personal. People make decisions for whatever reason, and we all move on. Just like I occasionally cut a kid, sometimes their parents cut me. Just the way it is.

You cant like them all when they are on your team, and then the second they leave, all of the sudden they are big jerks. I do feel for all the kids that are stuck in the middle though.

Do any of you grown adults have anything better to do with your lives than worry about the future of a 12 year old girls softball team. Are u all unemployed?

Nice first post; welcome to the bucket.

I guess since you have obviously devoted time to reading this thread, and time to register on the bucket today, your day at the (home) office has been a little slow? ;)

Nope. I'm a full-time softball coach and part-time bucket poster. The pay sucks, but it keeps me busy. :D
No courage. No game.

I just dont get why you people are so obsessed with 12 year old girls softball. They are young, they are still developing. Why do you feel the need to rate them? Let them play and get a life!!!!!

If it's too much for you perhaps you shouldn't look. In fact, don't go on your computer at all and definitely don't wander outside of your house, it's a scary world out there.

Good luck.

Sounds like a lot of people have very interesting things to say about Ace pitcher leaving and why? AND other crazy comments about the NW team... some stupid, some very defensive people  and a lot of assumptions...

I truly respect "pitcher" parents for their decision. It is always a hard decision to make when it involves something your kid loves and works hard to do. Parents in general should teach commitment and integrity to their kids and from what little is said about theses parents, thats what they do. However, its maybe they were UNHAPPY about something...and like someone said in earlier post, it was NOT the challenge or the coaches or play time... hmmm... Something must of set them off. It is never a good sign when multiple players leave a team, ESPECIALLY mid season! Maybe its not the Coach. Is there someone else involved in running the team? Does anyone on the bulletin know? Anyway, Lots of factors to consider. At least they made a decision on what was best for them because no one leaves a team like that for nothing without knowing the effect it would have on the whole team.

My point is, you can't judge people's decisions. We don't know what went down. I wish "pitcher" and parents the best of luck moving up to 14's wherever they end up. And to the NW girls, remember, have fun playing ball! it's not always about winning or whatever it takes to get there!

Carcinogens can lead to the malignent forms of cancer. Sometimes carcinogens can remain active, yet lack the structure or support to fully develope malignent cancerous growths.

Regardless, they are always costly to remove.

Fortunately, cancerous genes carried by parents are in most cases not clearly linked to the genes of their children, or vise versa. :geek:

OK, let me really screw things up but at the same time put things in perspective. Where would your Nor Cal team rank with these So Cal teams:

1. Victory - Sounds like this is the team that will win it all, so all your thoughts and prayers are for nothing but wasted time and space.

2.Firecrackers - Good team but I don't think their are better than Victory.

3.Artesia - Good team, probably better that Nor Cal teams

3.So Cal Breakers - Same as above

5.OC Batbusters - Name alone will make your team quiver
hey rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my pants
