Maybe that coach didn`t want you in the tourney.

Per Gary, the TD of that tournament. All divisions will be tourney format.
HOWEVER, some 18G teams do not want/will not play on Monday for whatever reason. The teams that do not want to play monday wont, and the ones that do will play single elimination on monday. The ones who do not play monday will play all 5 pool play games, the rest will play a 6 gg on monday. Its a team decision and not the format of the tournament :)

Nope, he was actually wanting us to go up that way as well. So if 20 Gold teams are playing and then only 4 say they want to play on Monday, then Monday will pretty much suck.... but oh well.

At least that clears things up:)

My guess is more teams will want to play monday then those that dont. I bet only a handful of teams dont. It could be travel related as well.

Well it looks like the Sac Memorial Day tournament is filling up quick. Close to 100 teams signed up. 12U and 14U now have a waiting list. Gold is at 21 teams. Anyone know at what point he will start a waiting list in 18G?

RR Gold has changed some things in their tournament. Looks like they are now offering an 8 game guarantee and trophies for 10U - 14U. I guess they're feeling some of the pressure from Sac. Hey, competition is good!!

Wow, this is getting...interesting! Wonder what teams are / will sign up for the RR Gold tourney?! With all the teams out there I'm sure both tournaments will do well. The question is where will the major teams end up. I see Sorcerers, AASA, Lady Magic...etc are in Sac. Anyone know where the Sting, KG Hitters, etc are headed?

...... grabbing some more popcorn!!

Its going to be a wait and see. What's going to be interesting is the teams listed right now in sac, is whether or not they stay in Sac. There is going to be alot of movement. Unless or until money changes hands, can anyone say "flip-flop".

Wow! Up to 114 teams that won't be allowed to play @ RR tournaments anymore.

The upshot is, 114 teams will get to play on better fields and will save $100 or more in gate fees alone each day! :)

Competition can be wonderful. Once again it has been demonstrated that arrogance, vindictiveness and losing contact with your client base are never good things for a business venture of any kind . Hey, TD...how do you like those threats, gate fees, and poor field conditions now? And the movement perhaps has just begun.
