I agree wichita.

So 65 team field. You have your last years top 10 berths who ALL are deserving. Then you have 55 teams that HAVE to qualify. Then you have legitimately the best 65 teams who played in the qualifiers. And to say they need to secure the top teams to make a National tournament is BS. By now, entering the 3rd year everyone wants to play in the Premier (atleast in CA) tournament, so getting enough teams that want to qualify is not a problem. Im over it too. Anyone rationalizing this is absurd. I realize were not going to change this but if enough people do voice their opinion, things tend to get done. Thats how Premier started, right? People tired of the same ol ASA BS? Just sayin!

All I'm stating is that instead of having all these invites in So Cal why not either:

1. Have more qualifiers in So Cal or

2. Just have one and have more berths available at the qualifier (15 or 20)

From my vantage point (and this is just opinion) it just seems to me that all the invites are doing is guaranteeing teams and ORG's an out if they cant earn a berth. so give more berths so teams can earn their spots. The way it looks (not saying it is happening) is that premier is keeping invites to give to the big name ORG's and teams to guarantee they are in the tourney. if you make them earn their spot then there's no debate on how they got in the tourney.

You speak like someone who has never been involved with building a successful business from the ground up.

If your organization has established a reputation for producing quality programs year in and year out, then you've positioned yourself for a standing invitation. It's the same rationale for why the SEC and other major conferences have automatic berths to the BCS every year.

The conferences have an automatic berth, but not the individual schools. They have to win a conference championship or perform well enough to earn an "at large" bid. You don't perform, you don't get in.

Jmo I think 14s is wide open this year. There are some good older and younger teams.
I dont think there is a clear cut favorite. Only time will tell. Until high school is over we
wont know which teams out of the older groups will be the toughest. I think this will be one
of the best age groups to watch!! Good luck everyone!!

Yes and please identify which RR Gold team(s) are legit. There are quite a few that were in the RR Gold Friendly this weekend. I don't know if some played up from 12s or what?

Seen RR Gold JC and Fresno Force this weekend. I didn't see those teams being able to compete on a national level. I again know there are like 4 RR Gold teams so this can't be the one in the poll? They both had some talent but they weren't in the top five teams in NorCal.

Anyhow I agree enough with all the PGF talk as well.

Breeze 97 split a pair in SJ vs Sting - Ibarra. Some great defense from Breeze infielders. Offense so so. Pitching was good from both. 4-2 Breeze and 6-1 Sting.

I heard the CC Comets - White (Laux/Smith.Ceo) went 3-0 in Modesto also.

Do not forget about the San Jose Lady Sharks. Two 14 u squads that should be in top 10 now, and will be in July, when it matters.

How did the 14s go down in the Mizuno friendlies? There were some teams that have been discussed on the boards in attendance
