Top 14U Norcal team

The Sting has a pitcher, yes, but I didnt like them against the Phantoms. It was looking like Phantoms was going to beat them until a ball hit down the first base line which set up the win. So they will get beat more and will slip down, I assure you. Breeze 96 went one and done but the reason I had them down so low is just how they played against Sorcerers and Grapettes-CR. Led most of way against Grapettes but showed their age in not closing the door. Against the Sorcerers just a lot of errors and again like a first year 14u team. I think Valley Stompers is better than the Fresno Force. That team can flat out hit. Or maybe they just had a great weekend. Salinas Storm looked great the first 2 days but came back down to earth on monday. Lady Magic looked better at times, but I think Roseville Heat just has their number. I shouldnt have put them in top 10 just yet. I guess I am keeping with the hype of the Magic when they arent playing up to that. AASA-JH is still a gritty team despite injuries. They will be around I'm sure. I would put Valley Stompers at 3 for now. Cant put them below TNT as they beat them. Im looking for TNT to make a run here soon. Some big kids on that team with some talent. I talked to one of the parents and they said they had 4 or 5 practices together leading up to the tournament. Breeze 95 was in the 16s and saw them briefly. Honestly, I believe all the teams can be beat. I really dont see Sorcerers running the table every time they enter, nor the Grapettes-CR. They are both very beatable. I really want to see all the heavy hitters in one bracket and fighting it out. Never a fan of the splittling brackets. I know , I know, it will take to long with that many teams. I doubt the rest of the year we will see the top 15 teams in the same bracket

1) Sorcerers- hands down at this point

6)TNT- will beat the top 2 once im sure

9) Valley Stoppers-probably 3 on this list from what i saw of them . Or just good weekend??
10) Breeze 95-Will give any one a game

Synergy? Also you people do realize that their are two San Jose Sting teams. 95 and 96. 95's (the team with the pitcher) hardly ever play any 14u tournaments.

I agree - Synergy? Have they even played in a tournament yet. And yes - SJ Sting didn't even play with 14s this past weekend. (watchtonsofsoftball) The other SJ sting team played phantom. Not the same pitcher-not the same team. Won't see them in 14 tourneys.
Sorcerers and SJ Sting are the best until someone beats them. Hasn't happened yet and probably won't happen since both teams will probably play 16's and 18 for the rest of the season.

Ok, I thought we were discussin the Sting team from the past weekend. Probably why I wasnt overly impressed. Have to keep my eye out on the 'other' Sting team.

Looks like I may have to eat my words. I just looked at this weekends RR gold tourney and most of the heavy hitters are out in 14U division. I dont think I can make it out this weekend, but I sure am going to try on sunday. Really the only teams that I dont see is the Breeze teams. I guess one of these teams that were suppose to run the table wont as someone has to lose. Should be a grinder on sunday.

What has happen to Lady Magic. That was a top team the last few years. This was a team that was always good with the fundamentals after seeing them the last few weekends they don't seem to have the same mojo. It looks like they have changed some coaching don't remember the 3rd base coach from before. It looks like the magic is gone for now for the 14's.

There is nothing wrong with the Magic. They are a good team, but guess what ....... teams actually lose some games from time to time. So it is some coaching change? Cmon, I didnt see anything from their coaches that would make me think they have issues there.

They played in 2 good tourneys the past 2 weeks and did nothing to change the fact that they are a good team. You cant win every tourney you enter...... unless your the Scorcerers:)

It is OK to lose some games. The world doesn't stop spinning.

The thing that has changed though, is teams now have their HS players back, which is basically 45% of the entire age division just started playing. Kind of changes things a little... dont you think? I think someone said that might happen a few months back.
