1. Universal Fastpitch Faulstitch (Won Best of the West One of the most impressive 1st year 14u teams I've seen)
2. LTG Henderson (Lost early in Best of the West but too talented to stay down)
3. Firecrackers Macias (Runner up Best of the West Very strong lefty pitcher)
4. Batbusters Brooks (Lost in Quarters but sent LTG home first)
5. Suncats Jimenez (Missed them this weekend but apparently landed a big fish)

C'mon...no love for the temp teams? Not even an honorable mention? Asking for a friend... ;)

Anyone want to take a stab at 14U rankings now that we have had some qualifiers, tournaments and Zoom?

PGF put it pretty clearly for not-So-Cal 14u:

1) DD Pickering, 2) Sorcerer, Breeze, 3) Warriors, 4) Suncats, 5) FC Mettler, Universal 05, LTG 05

in general NorCal did well and it was also evident that no longer do the kids who were recruited at 12u prior to the rule change, dominate.

In general NorCal did well?
That's like saying Bernie Sanders did well in the last election.
No 12u team is going to dominate as a first-year 14.
Get ready to pad ur'azz the spankings are no extra charge once you leave 12u.

PGF 14u
4 Nor Cal Teams in Top 20
6 So Cal Teams in Top 20

I would say that’s not a bad showing for Nor Cal

For as many California teams are entered in pgf better be several from California in the top 20. Look at all age brackets to get a good view of how well all the teams placed from outside of California.
My view top ten is impressive.
It's still good to make it to friday but the championship games are on Saturday.

Thought all these polls were always a top 10 list.

California teams to make it to Saturday in 14u Premier,

1. DD Pick
2. OCBB Flores 2022
3. Cal Breeze
4. OCBB Campbell/Stith 2023
5. FC Brashear 2022

Not a bad showing for California. The gap has definitely closed between SoCal and NoCal imo.

Arent 4 of those teams from so cal?

Gap closing....are you speaking about the San Andreas Fault?
Go take a look who's winning Nationals. If NorCal wants to close the gap they're going to have to win in atleast 1 age bracket.
Also if nor cal thinks their chasing so cal look again, competition is from out of state. Oh except for the so cal teams that are in top 5 routinely.
