The passive-aggressive is strong with this one...

Actually, my last comment was unfair to the OP. It's a legit question whether or not the OP was personally impacted.

In my opinion the "ethical" course is to stick with them that brung ya'. Earn a berth with Team A, and then leverage that berth to recruit a new Team B to replace Team A--strikes me as a d**khead move.

At the end of the day, what's the life lesson? That's the question every adult involved in youth athletics should always be asking.

Sounds like this coach you are talking about should not even be coaching. This is the problem with NorCal teams. Too many daddy coaches who think they know what they are doing.

Big assumption that its daddy ball. I know plenty of programs where the coaches do not have kids on the team. Guess what, that fact does not make them better coach. I have seen a lot of teams that do not have parents coaching and they are not very good coaches in my book.

I also know a quite few excellent coaches that "gasp" have kids on the team they coach.

Its a wounded parental ego
crying on heybucket for sympathy knowing they didn't tell the whole story. Gossip at best.

Wold you rather be kicked off a team that was going to PGF or be on a team that goes 0-5 while they are at PGF?

I think the OP dodged a bullet.
