Top 14U Norcal team

by Auggie » Tue Mar 30, 2010 11:59 am

Who`s the top 14 U Norcal team? After Lady Magic very poor showing in Hemet and Breeze 96 impressive showing in Surf City, where do these teams stack up?

SJ Sting very strong right now, but losing players to 16's once high school is done. Will they still be strong??? I agree with Sorcerers. Don't forget all the 95's returning after high school. Grapes will be strong also.

Thanx for the posts! Great to hear from others. 96 Breeze played Sorcerers twice in fall. Lost in a close one against their ace, and then beat them soundly the 2nd time. I think Sorcerers are the better team, but if Breeze keeps their ace, they are a force.

Since there are two teams up NORTH that beat the National champs (12U)/5th ranked 14U team in So-Cal which that makes them top 10 in the country reguardless of when the H.S kids come back. IMO, you have to go through those two to be the best. Right now the way it stands, Breeze #1/ Lady Magic #2..The rest will follow..
Once a big tourney happens where most the teams from the north attend, then that is when we can make the OFFICIAL 14U team ranking of the north... ;)

breeze 96 is not playing in Sac metros, most of their girls live in San Joaquin county, therefore, they are in San Joaquin metros. Now Breeze 95 is in Sac metros. They are going to be a force to be reckoned with!

Looks like Breeze 96 is playing in Stockton this week. Look forward to watching them.
Are these 2 Breeze teams different than what I saw over Fall? Pretty sure we played both of them, and one of them 3 or 4 times.

And being involved in this age group for many years, HUGE difference between a 1st and 2nd year 14u. This is a huge growth year for these players. They come back after their first year much bigger and stronger.

Some good teams in Stockton this weekend for the one day friendly.Should be a decent measuring stick to what will come.
Yes the gilrs come back stronger and bigger the 2nd year of 14U, but does not mean they are a better ball club.
IMO even when the older 14's come back, the Breeze 96 and Lady Magic will be the teams to beat. They proved themselves in So-Cal with the tops down there.

LVTWFT,

Are those teams the same teams that we played in Fall???
We played 2 different Breeze teams more than once. Same or different? Same with Magic, who are very good by the way.
