Enjoy reading your rankings. Many of these teams will be playing this weekend in Lodi. Interesting to see how they do and how these rankings may change. Thanks for taking the time to do the research on this. One thing though.... be aware the Fresno Force does not have a 12U Team.

I had the opportunity to watch several Saturday games in Lodi and was very surprised how good the talent level was with all teams. The Grapettes & Sorcerers tied teams they should have beaten and the Breeze lost to the CA. Grapettes (K) team 2-1. But on Sunday the cream rose to the top 4 teams in my top 20 playing in the semi's. So here is my top 20 after Grapettes Tourney.

Nice job WB. I like your insight so far on the 12U's. Those were some great games in Lodi. I like your little summaries that you are putting in. Please share more comments as you rank the teams. FYI....It looks like the Cal Breeze's friendly next weekend Oct 16 & 17 will have will have at least 3 of top 10 teams playing in it. Unless they decide to go to RR Gold's Tournament which as of today is taking shape

not seeing much dissent on wilson's ranking, so i think i'll offer a different view.

1) grapettes sn - good all around team - could use a few more big bats and more depth at pitching, but they execute well enough to get the job done.

2) dirt dogs - solid team with great fundamentals

3) sorcerers - possibly the most athletic 12u team

4) breeze 98 - great hitters and always a threat

5) grapettes vasquez - solid underrated team

6) Ladysharks - a couple players short of making top 5

7)Stompers - great coaching - shouldn't be left out of the mix

8) Smash - had a bad showing early this season - but i think they've still got enough pieces to solve the puzzle

9)Sting - seems like a fairly new team, but very well coached

10) AASA - surprised a few teams already. can they keep it up.

11) RR Gold - good young team.

Great job this weekend to Grapettes-Norwood! Made it to the semi-finals playing up in 14's at the Grapettes Cancer Awareness Tournament... Tremendous team effort!
